I am a queer, disabled artist with a passion for painting as a way process my emotions and invoke emotions in others.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love both portraiture and large abstract pieces. I usually paint with oils and any piece I create derives from my love of exploring color.
Where do you find inspiration?Light! I love the way light bounces off surfaces and refracts to showcase new colors. I love the complexity of expression as well! Microexpressions can vastly change the meaning of a look and the tone of a painting.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in local studio space in the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina. I would also use it on paint, canvases, and more paint. Finally I would make prints of my work to sell.
