I create art to put unspoken feelings, words, or emotions into a canvas that expresses the importance and meaning behind the repressed.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create art based off mental health mostly. It’s more than just a hobby. For many, it functions as a bridge between a chaotic internal world and the external reality. Sometimes, the weight of mental health struggle be it anxiety, depression, or trauma feels like a physical pressure. Traditional language often fails to describe these feelings accurately. Art allows you to externalize an internal feeling. Once a feeling is on paper or canvas, it lives there instead of just living inside.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through powerful mental health awareness songs, poetry, stories, and I also find inspiration through my own emotional well-being, thoughts, and feelings.
What would you do with $25,000?Pay off my medical debt, because I'm struggling with seizures, and I would also like to pay for college.
