The exploration of the unknown is what pushes me to create. Each piece is another opportunity to learn and grow in a world of possibilities.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’ve always been inspired by impressionistic designs. It’s always been such a dreamy style to me. Nothing is certain or solid but instead molded by each stroke to create someone’s imagination in a physical form. I’ve preferred this style more to others but I have a few favorites like sketching since it’s what I’m mostly use to.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration for me comes through the world around me. How I create relationships, through the music I listen to, emotion or even just the simplest of things in life. I’ve based many of my pieces off the beauty of this life because not only are we limited to the time we have on this earth but also because I was taught to remember every detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Those moments had a memory born from them and I record every single one. one page or canvas at a time.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning the 25,000 would be a great achievement for me and would be put towards my tuition as an illustration major here in California. It’s always been my goal to work in the creative fields and having this scholarship would solidify my place as an art student and would take the burden of financial responsibility off my family and I. Through this competition I hope to prove my skills and abilities not only to those around me but also myself as it is something that I care about deeply.
