I love creating art out of non-traditional unique materials, such as matches and fabric, exploring textures, and representing my experiences
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create large scale mixed media out of fun and creative materials. I love to play around with the layering of materials to create values, contrast, and eye catching textures. A lot of my art pieces represent my personal story of addiction and recovery. To create awareness and connection of the addictive qualities of marijuana. I also strive to have my pieces be sustainable so often times the cavas is reused or secondhand. And the materials often are thrifted or old clothing.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by my little sister. She is the strongest young woman I know. She has been through a lot and continues to persevere and succeed. And she does so with such grace and compassion for others. I am inspired by the kindness and generosity of others and the radiating positivity from those who spread it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put this 25,000 towards creating the Wildcraft Art Collective, a collective focused on cleanup, sustainability, and creating art from what’s found.
