I create art because it's the only thing that's kept me going when the world and jobs get fickle. I know I can make it through art.

I love to create action figures, dolls, collectibles, t-shirts basically.... cool stuff. I've been a product designer for a number of years. but my journey began with comic illustration and graphics. My career veered into advertising and animation before I settled into product design. Making toys and statues and all this stuff gives me such happiness and I'm grateful at Deetoy Co. everyday.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration watching the latest toy news and design techniques as well as just combining things I love to tell a story from a different perspective. I want things to feel fresh and new even if everyone else is doing it. Art is very competitive and when I see a really good design I'm always inspired to take my skills up a notch or two. Japanese toys and anime have always been my favs but growing up in the 80's He-Man. G.I. Joe and Transformers were major influences on my art styles.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 is plenty to achieve everything I need to secure equipment, office space, supplies and advertising to create new positions for painting and assembling products we create here in Detroit. Deetoy Co. won't be outsourcing any manufacturing outside of the United States. We're proud to say made in America and more importantly made in Detroit. Create 5 new jobs producing Toys dolls, statues, and t-shirts as painters, assemblers, packaging and design talent instore and tradeshows.
