Making art is how I translate wonder, nature, and human connection into something others can experience.

I am most passionate in creating art that positively represents different symbols, stories, and utilizes language of my indigenous heritage. I am particularly fond of utilizing the medium of stained glass to tell these stories and shine a new and educating light on our history. Stained glass is primarily thought of as church windows, which historically the church has been used as a weapon to eliminate indigenous culture and language. I utilize it to create indigenous art as a form of resilience
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration for my art, primarily in nature and often research through reading about history and stories that are orally passed down. I’m very inspired by mystical and spiritual settings of indigenous history. Above all, I found my way back into the art world after I became a father and my kids inspire me to create and to be the best person that I can be. I want to show them the natural world and how beautiful it can be and how beautiful they make it.
What would you do with $25,000?This amount of money would be life-changing for me and my family. We could pay off debt, have a down payment for a house, I could I could get my own art studio and acquire more tools and materials to advance my work and have my own space.
