I love my work. It is confrontational, peppered in word play, dark humor and whimsy. I re-purpose abandoned objects and childhood toys.

I weave between themes of politics, religion and motherhood. I like to have people question what they see, and take a second glance. I photograph life size dolls with Santa. I create miniature worlds. Political collages, games and hats. Fancy dresses out of hospital gowns. Lamps and dresses from woven hair. Laundry Lint into Lintscapes. Political chess boards, caged hairballs, embroidered hankies and so much more, but every piece I create invites the viewer to enjoy my dark humor and whimsy.
Where do you find inspiration? My father was a broadcaster, so news is comforting in a familiar way. I love history and information. I find inspiration in the hypocrisy I see, the phrases I hear and what we are living through. I create in any medium that works best for the idea. I'm not making work that will sell but work I need to make. My motto is "I'd like to make money, but I want to make history."
What would you do with $25,000?I currently am projecting sayings to bring attention to the times. I would get equipment so I could project more places than from the fire escape. I would also like to make a book of my work. I have so many series of work that having everything in a book would be amazing.
