I create from my life as a gay young adult. My work engages with themes of queer visibility, vulnerability, and belonging.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m a realism painter at my core, but I use heightened color and stylized lighting to create a sense of atmosphere—often pulling from nightlife and intimate social spaces to give my work a slightly surreal, emotionally charged feel.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from my own experiences, especially moments of connection, tension, and vulnerability within social spaces. I’m interested in the unspoken dynamics between people and how those can be translated through light, color, and composition.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would be able to establish a dedicated studio space and focus on painting full-time, allowing me to develop a stronger, more cohesive body of work.
