Art is healing. I used art as a way to ease my fear and anxiety when I was diagnosed with cancer while I was pregnant.

Receive Text UpdatesI actually call myself an inspirational artist. My favorite type of art to create is work that leaves people feeling uplifted and inspired. I love color, collage and nature.
Where do you find inspiration?I worked as an artist in residence on the oncology floor of a children’s hospital. The patients and their families served as my inspiration. I learned so much about myself during that time and my art was forever changed. I paint with a new found sensitivity.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to continue my work in the arts and healthcare field. To transform sterile medical rooms into colorful hopeful spaces. Environment plays a big part in our wellbeing so surrounding patients with uplifting, positive images can help them heal.
