Art isn't exactly a choice, it's a need. A need to express self, a need to know self. If I don't embody what I feel, I lose myself entirely.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I adore fashion more than anything. It's something we do every single day, we wake up and dress ourselves, but I must say, for the past year I've been hyper focused on working with denim. I've particularly been busy with Sashiko!! It's a hand stitching/embroidery technique developed by the Japanese working class. It's a functional and decorative way to repair torn up clothes. It's GORGEOUS!! I love it. I'm doing a lot of that lately.
Where do you find inspiration?Pinterest of course xD Other than my fashion based role models like Jaden Smith, Erykah Badu, Johnny Depp, Luka Sabbat, Helena Bonham Carter and more, I've had the same pinterest account for as long as I can remember. And for as long as my pinterest account has existed, I've always had fashion and modelling boards that I continue to build to this day. Pinterest is a constant source of inspiration for me.
What would you do with $25,000?Amongst my many dreams and aspirations, one of them is to own a store [a physical store preferably] where you'd walk in and from top to bottom, the entire room is dressed with racks of handmade clothes, creepy black mannequins with custom cowboy hats and handmade jewelry placed on elevated platforms, crafts & sculptures on the walls, shelves of self-help & esoteric books, vintage furniture, trinkets and antiques that look both beautiful and cursed. I'd invest in bringing my store to life.
