I am most drawn to creating oil paintings that tell the stories of Native women and the land. My work weaves together portraiture and landscape—honoring generational strength, cultural memory, and the relationship between people and place. Each piece is rooted in history, resilience, and the quiet power carried forward through time.

I find inspiration in my ancestors, my homeland, and the stories that live in both. The rivers, trees, and changing seasons of southeastern Oklahoma hold memory, just as the women in my family carry strength and wisdom. I am inspired by survival, by resilience, and by the responsibility to keep our history visible and alive through my work.

I would create a studio and gallery to bring fine art into a remote rural area of southeastern Oklahoma, where poverty rates are almost double the national average and opportunities to experience it are virtually nonexistent. In a world often overrun by stress and digital noise, a local studio would give children and adults a safe place to experience the beauty and importance of fine art. The physical act of using a paintbrush is healing. I want to share that superpower with my community.
