I engage with my artwork in the same way that I invite my audience to: through touch. Most of my work is touchable or interact-able in some way. I am the kind of person who walks into a museum and has to fight the urge to touch that particularly chunky looking oil painting or that intricate kinetic sculpture. I create art for people like that.

I find inspiration in the little things that get overlooked. Bringing attention and beauty into the world from unexpected places brings joy. I also have a possibly unhealthy obsession with art history and folklore that has drawn me to other artists like Guillermo Del Toro, performance artists like Marina Abramovic, classic/kitschy horror movies, music, or the iconic and severely weird art from the dark ages. Rabbits fighting giant snails and butt trumpets should make a comeback in modern design!

Boring answer: First, I would put in better lighting in my home studio and probably get a half decent dinner, but in the big picture (after taxes)... I'd make the best decisions that I can to uplift myself and my family to live happily within our own little corner of the universe. Fun answer (that is probably close to to the truth): I'd buy up a small abandoned town in Tuscany and start a commune. Who wouldn't?
