My favorite medium stippling! Stippling is a kind of pointillism in which an artist draws out of ink dots with a fine point pen, almost like tattooing, but on paper. It takes tens to hundreds of hours to finish one piece. Most people who discover my art tell me they could never do this; however, I find it relaxing, especially when I draw things that I love. The ink dries immediately and is very clean compared to other mediums, giving the feeling of a drawing but the crispness of a photo.

Much of my inspiration comes from how I grew up. I lived in the country and was around nature and animals all the time. Much of what I draw is inspired by the traditional country life: animals, barns, old cars, instruments, faith, and anything outside. It helps me stay connected to my childhood and things that matter to me as I move through adulthood.

I have several things I would do if I suddenly won $25,000. Firstly, I'd give some of it to church and charity. I'd put some of it in savings, invest some, and use some for a down-payment on a house for me, my husband and our daughter. With the rest, I'd put some in my daughter's savings account to help give her a better future.
