Creating art fills a hole that would otherwise be filled with rage or despair. Creating photos that capture others emotions is therapy.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love sitting down with people and discussing their fears, emotions, desires and formulating an idea to create a truly unique image. Taking photos can be complex as is, but cutting apart renaissance paintings, going out to shoot pieces of photos or scanning or finding 3D objects to blend together to capture another’s pain or joy includes not just editing, but hours of thought, scanning libraries, searching my soul to blend it all together seemlessly.
Where do you find inspiration?Often times in the space between wakefulness and sleep. Sometimes movies, sometimes poetry, sometimes just listening to another person.
What would you do with $25,000?My cameras and lenses are in pretty rough shape, I’d probably replace them and add to my lighting setup. Maybe take a trip around the southwest to gather photos for my stock library to pull from at some future date.
