I move between constructing images and discovering them. Whether building surreal environments or observing the world as it is, I’m drawn to capturing human emotion I recognize - moments of strange beauty, memory, and connection that feel both personal and shared.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life - street scenes, people, and changing neighborhoods. Growing up in Venice Beach shaped how I see, and my formative years living in Providence added depth. I’m drawn to real moments, human emotion, and the space between nostalgia and change.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in larger-scale photographic installations and community-driven work - funding materials, set construction, and production, while documenting changing neighborhoods I care about. I’d collaborate with and feature people from my community, expanding access, visibility, and shared storytelling. Having taught photography to at-risk youth in Woonsocket, I’d support youth arts programs and expand my lens through travel, exploring new cultures and perspectives.
