Courtney Flores

I have always loved creating art.... It has been my therapy, and a positive way to process the grief after my exhusband's suicide in 2024.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I really enjoy giving new life to things that people no longer want...things cast aside. I seem to try to do the same with people...help to find their new purpose when they've been broken and tossed. Sometimes it just takes a change in perspective to see the true potential of something or someone.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration for my creations through my emotions of the day, perhaps the music I'm listening to, and also my imagination. A lot of my art is driftwood, so when I see a piece of driftwood I spend a lot of time studying it and the things that make it stand out to me.

What would you do with $25,000?

With $25000, I would buy vehicle to get the kids and I around. I would pay off my outstanding credit, and invest the rest into something that I feel would make a difference for people struggling with suicidal thoughts and mental illness.
