When I create art, it’s therapeutic, it’s connection, it’s using my hands connecting body and mind. I love every aspect of it
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create paintings. I typically paint tattoo related art, but also enjoy doing pet portraits and occasionally beach landscapes. I’ve used all sorts of mixed media, from acrylics, liquid acrylics, oils, and india ink.
Where do you find inspiration? When it comes to tattoos and tattoo related paintings, I find a lot of inspiration from those who came before me. Like way before me, early/mid 1900’s. I like to recreate what they designed with my own spin. When it comes to the other kinds of paintings I make, I just like to focus on the darks and lights and eventually it comes together. I also really enjoy using color and color theory/ how colors thrive with other colors.
What would you do with $25,000?To be honest I would probably spend it on more art supplies, put some into my savings, enjoy a nice dinner out with a friend, spoil my pets, and enjoy my life the same way I do every day :)
