I love doing post modern portraits that involve the medium as itself as well as depicting everyday objects alongside portraits and typography to make for an interesting visual texture where you can find something new each time you see the piece.
Where do you find inspiration?I see inspiration in my everyday life. From the curve of a vehicle passing by, the crooked smile of a loved one, or the new word I learned from a coworker in the office. Inspiration is all around us if you’re keeping yourself opened to it.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use this to invest in throwing another solo show. I did it in January 2020 renting a 9,500 sq ft vacant historic theater where I installed 42 works and sold 22 that weekend. This was right before Covid and I’d love to do this again bigger and better! Something OKC hasn’t done before
