My favorite type of art to make is the one that comes through in that moment. I receive color pattern inspiration through nature and from source. I mostly paint geometrical and colorful figures because is what I see in my mind when inspired. I mainly use acrylic paint and markers. I love how intense and saturated the colors can be. The main reason a make art is to express myself in a way I can’t through words.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from nature, mixed with my way of perceiving life. When an idea comes to be, is like a brewed cup of coffee made from experiences, nature and source, in order to explain how I feel and to translate that idea into this material world.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would use it as a catalyst to continue making art. I would love to make a larger-scale painting that expresses the journey of a women in this three dimensional world. I do believe art comes from source and my duty as an artist is to be used as a tool to make it real for others to feel. I would also use the funds to create a curated exhibition and immersive experiences. I am especially interested in transforming spaces into environments where people can engage with art.
