I have a BFA and studied sculpture, painting, ceramics, drawing, etc. I love all mediums. Painting is my favorite followed by ceramics.

I love to paint. I combine painting with sculptural elements. I also have a passion for creating sculptures from trash. My favorite is crochet of plastic bags. It helps keep plastic bags from land fills which is important for the environment. I find it satisfying to create something beautiful from things people throw away.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature. I love flowers of all kinds and many of my pieces contain flowers I have made from discarded items. I am not one for straight lines. Straight lines are not found in nature. I love the soft, quiet curves in nature. I find those gentle curves create beautiful artwork.
What would you do with $25,000?I want to open my own studio and offer artists who are just getting started an affordable place to work and sell their art. Rental space in my town is expensive and it is difficult to move into the art district. I feel that every artist deserves a chance to work and create what they love.
