Curran Stone

I was born a natural artist. I have been an abstract painter most of my life until 2012 when metal sculpture became my passion.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I create the kind of art that no one has seen before . I enjoy arranging bits and pieces that were originally intended for a different application. I repurpose them and transform them into something new .

Where do you find inspiration?

When I get an idea of something I’m going to build for myself or a client I just start . Typically I never make any drawings. I go with the flow right out of my head. I’ve always created my art that way. The only time I stop and think about the next step is if I don’t have the piece I need to go forward. I do however self critique myself as I go along .

What would you do with $25,000?

I’ll probably save it for a rainy day in the future.
