I create art on hats by burning the fibers into my inspiration: the Alaskan mountains- Glandular and majestic, I love to make wearable art.

I enjoy everything from wood burning, acrylic painting, watercolor painting of landscapes of mountains, pyrography or what some call fire writing on felt hats and synthetic materials, but I enjoy pencil and charcoal drawings the most. Pencil drawing was my first art love!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the mountains of Alaska. They are white capped and majestic. I live at the bottom of the mountains outside of Palmer Alaska where the Chugach Mountains meet at the Matanuska and Susitna Rivers. They call it the Mat-Su Valley. It’s beautiful and I try to capture that beauty in every piece I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would open a business! I would rent a store front in Palmer Alaska, with custom order hats for sale, offer coffee, wine and beer for those who want to hang out. Custom sales while they wait. Magical place to find a hat for you!
