I love creating abstract work because it lets me merge paint with holography. Turning emotion into something alive, shifting and real. Digital art is equally essential to me. My laptop is my office, so when or where inspiration hits, I create. Branding, storytelling, even comic-style pieces. Through both, I build Gerard. Where art becomes experience and experience becomes identity.
Where do you find inspiration?Living in ATL fuels me. I’m surrounded by muralists and artist who push each other to grow, celebrate wins, and support each other through losses. That energy is everything. Nature grounds me. My mother’s eyes remind me why I create. And Puerto Rico. Is my heart. I carry my island in every piece. My inspiration is community, roots and truth.
What would you do with $25,000?First, I give thanks to the most high. Then I take my mom to Toronto through Puerto Rico , that’s everything. From there, I reinvest into Atlanta's artist community, creating opportunities that multiply. I’d also create a one of one Gerard holographic piece to gift back to The Peoples Artist. A symbol of gratitude and what’s next.
