Dagoverto Benavidez

I feel that children need to know about the 5 stages of grief. To understand that some of the feelings they are experiencing are natural.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Oil paintings, they allow me to find beauty in placeses whee you least expect it, such as a beautiful little flower growing out of a discarded cambells soup can. Or watching two birds in flight against a setting sun, or a lady tossing bread up in the sky feeding the seagulls against the vast Ocean. Or a quit night by a pond full of flowering lilly pads with a full moon above with a shooting star in the background. I love to paint this scenes in oils.

Where do you find inspiration?

All around me in nature. Beauty is all around us.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would donate some to the CASA program which is Court Appointed Special Advocate that advocates for children going through the court system. I would some of it to travel Greece to visit the Oracle at Delphi. pay off some depts.
