Art silences the noise in my mind. Time disappears, and I turn nothing into something that feels like a piece of me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create paintings of sunsets, open landscapes, and people, using them to tell pieces of my life. My work is rooted in emotion and memory, often made for loved ones as a way of preserving connection. I’m drawn to sunsets for their fleeting beauty- the way they hold both endings and warmth, and I try to capture that same feeling in my work.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by photographs, the outdoors, and the people I love. Light and fleeting moments shape my work. Art became my way of holding onto my mother; keeping her connection alive in everything I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my future while supporting my dad and our family farm, a place that has shaped who I am. It would be a way to honor where I come from while creating new opportunities for where I’m going.
