My art is like a journal of my life. Producing art to me is a way to reflect, relax and rejuvenate.

I was a Geologist my entire working carrier. Everyday was like a new adventure. Sunrise’s, sunsets in different locations, places i have worked and also visited, inspire me to produce artwork. Each oil painting represents a glimpse of the natural beauty i witnessed at a particular time of my life. During the good times and the bad, during times of joy and also sorrow.
Where do you find inspiration?I paint to music, often with both hands at the same time. Composing works of art inspired by the natural world around me. Each piece flows to the music and is finished when it is pleasing to my eye. Some of my art is also inspired to help people who have experienced loss.
What would you do with $25,000?I am retired-the money would inspire me to continue painting throughout my golden years. A portion would go into my grandsons savings account for his future. The money would also allow me to continue to donate paintings to the Burchfield Penny Art Center Auction/Fundraiser each year. I would also be able to enhance my artistic ability through classes and workshops. A trip with my family to visit the National Parks may be artistically beneficial.
