It lets me work outside the box in a way Normal jobs won’t let me do It keeps me smiling when I see someone’s face for what I’ve made 4 them
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I use metal designs lets say signs/wall art abstracts Pictures and use colors and rust patinas and some times colored linings as backsplash to make a 2D-3D effect and sometimes I mount them over wood backing and even use charged backing with raw and brushed metal to give a whole new effect. And all of this is used over or under my designs to give it a whole different look since my art I used the cut out and what’s not cut out to make a picture of what ever I’m working one I try to keep it simple
Where do you find inspiration?I like the 80s retro, combined with art deco and the abstract. I grew up In Ann Arbor Mi in the late 70s and 80s and was exposed to some great artists and people who were very open minded about most aspects of life and help me to see the good in everything corny I know but makes for a fun time and keeps me pretty open to almost anything. I like you Combine Many different forms into what I do, I try to reinvent and bring back and combine Older pieces of Information and turn them into meme : )
What would you do with $25,000?Wow I would upgrade from plamsa to laser table and that would open up me doing so much more in the detailed designs I could do… and I need belt sander to refine my art. I would like to Make More off the Wall Fun layered Designs and incorporate Some Cool Epoxy Coating too, will see, thx Please check out my site at www.AlienMetalThings.com to see more. Thx much see ya in the other side …
