I create art because that is my coping mechanism
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
This is a hard one to answer. I love to mix different styles, materials and techniques to make things. I love making unusual pieces. Sometimes I use fabric, gesso, clay, papier machè and put together a painting for a friend, or a sculpture. I'm never looking for perfection, but impression or emotions.
Where do you find inspiration?I have some weird dreams sometimes, and that is a wild source of inspiration, then I might see something in Pinterest, for instance and think, what if this could be made with this or that material, and the colors could be different, and end up having a completely different idea from the original image 😀
What would you do with $25,000?Well...as most people, I live day by day. Trying to live out of my art, a very difficult thing. I'm homeschooling my kids and I can't really go out to work. Besides, I enjoy creating and crafting, but I have plenty of debts to pay. That money would definitely help me a lot with that...and with whatever is left, I'll probably go for a trip to Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
