The repetitive, rhythmic nature of placing dots helps calm my busy mind, fostering mindfulness while allowing for self-expression.

The style I'm most drawn to creating is the kind that feels almost meditative-pieces where the symmetry is tight, the gradients are smooth, and the color palette tells a little story on its own. There's something satisfying about watching a pattern bloom outward one dot at a time, almost like a pulse. If my mood is deep, atmospheric...I prefer rich jewel tones, slow transitions, and a sense of depth-- like looking into a galaxy made of dots. These feel calm and introspective.
Where do you find inspiration?Places that have rhythm, repetition, or a kind of quiet beauty. The things that spark ideas for me fall into a few patterns: Natural: Anything with organic symmetry-flower petals, seed pods, shells, ripples in water, even the way moss spreads across a stone. Nature is basically a master of radial design, so it feeds mandala ideas effortlessly. Also, anything with repeating geometry tends to translate beautifully into mandala structure. Sometimes, the inspiration isn't visual at all-it's a mood.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in creative exploration: richer color theory, more nuanced mandala structures, and broader cultural pattern knowledge. I'd put some money towards initiatives that help people access art supplies, workshops, or creative spaces-especially kids or adults who don't normally get that chance. Creativity shouldn't be a luxury. I'd also love to support programs that use art for mental wellness, because the meditative rhythm of dotting is something everyone should get to experience.
