Creating as a meditative process, my work is organic and I consider it prehistoric, petrified pieces as if they were unearthed & ancestral.

A ceramic sculptural artist that also works with assemblage with bronze, bones & crystals. My forms are organic in shape & portray forms that might look familiar yet other worldly. More recently, I have become a jewelry artist also with unique forms working in Sterling silver , bronze, brass with raw crystals. I create small bits in bronze for the person who has everything up to much larger scaled works that can be mounted on the wall , home decor or stand in the garden.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature, wherever I am always inspired me. Having a place in Joshua Tree has definitely influenced a lot of my work as far as the matte textures to my Ceramics as if it’s been there for a 1000 years, weather it’s in between the rocks watching the sunrises and sunsets & the paleness of the sky is a beautiful palette. Having my space in LA. I love being inspired by gobs of seaweed at the shoreline. My whole life I’ve collected pods, shells & rocks. It’s only natural that they take form in my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest back into my art. It would go into some things I’d like to still have in my studio space I would like to travel more and be able to go to different artist residencies to be inspired and I’d really like to work on a project that I see for Desert X, and that would help afford me the time to complete that .
