My name is Dane I am a 17 year old artist and I work with different types of mediums, I have been creating sculptures recently.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating sculptures out of wire and rope as well as creating ceramic pieces. Currently I am working on a large hanging installation that is made from old climbing rope, it is a sculpture of tree roots which is representing the side of nature we don’t see and the beauty in nature.
Where do you find inspiration?I get my inspiration from my love for the out doors as well as my love for climbing and in my art pieces I want to show the beauty in nature and show the side of nature we don’t see but is behind every plant.
What would you do with $25,000?I would create sculptures to share with the people in my city as well as help improve our ceramics and sculpture room if they would like and that would include things from new ceramic tools to paint and wire working tools, I would also use it to help other people fund their passion for art who might not be able to afford the cost of high quality art materials.
