When it comes to working with my hands, my favorite is sculpture. More specifically I specialize in collecting the plastic waste that I generate, and that is around me, to compact and later build on with papier-mâché clay (which I also hand make). Trash is my favorite material
Where do you find inspiration?There’s something about the Wind, and how it creates this domino effect that starts with the smallest action and snowballs into the largest most romantic reaction possible. The elements play a key role in my day-to-day life which exist in the context of nature.
What would you do with $25,000?I would continue finding ways to make art and space to generate attention of the public to take accountability of the pollution that occurs in our home, neighborhoods in our cities and beyond. I believe art can change the mind and hearts of even the most jaded people.
