I create art to document the world around me, tell stories and to connect with other people.

Drawings. I think drawings is the most direct and honest way to convey an idea. I also think drawing (at least from life) forces you to really look at the world around you. You have to stop and spend some time with it.
Where do you find inspiration?Old magazines from the mid-twentieth century or earlier (such as Simplicissimus Magazine). Sometimes from comic books too.
What would you do with $25,000?I would work on a comic book and at the same time a series of location drawings to make another book like my first one "Charcoal & Whisky". This time I'd either draw Frank Lloyd Wright buildings in the town over from me (Oak Park) or find a specific location and document it through drawing (life drawing). The comic book would be in studio and the reportage on location. Then, depending on how much money I'd have left over, I'd use it to print a book and promote it.
