I was born reaching for a crayon. Art is where I stop performing and start existing as my raw and honest self, unfiltered & unapologetic.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm drawn to living things and the remnants of them. Figures, creatures, beings that breathe with feeling or once did. What fascinates me most is the complexity of emotion. The way grief can look like stillness, the way rage can look like calm, and the way death can still carry tenderness. I lean into fantasy because reality has limits. In fantasy, I can push emotion beyond what the physical world allows. It strips away the shackles of expectation to reveal something true and honest underneath.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. Every conversation, every story I hear, every moment I live becomes fuel. It all folds into my work, quietly waiting until it's needed.
What would you do with $25,000?I would move it in three directions at once: Toward my family, who have always been my first source of support, Toward a greater cause than myself, and toward building the career I have been working toward with intention. This prize would be the first real investment in a future I have already committed to.
