My favorite type of art to create is oil painting using the impasto technique. I enjoy applying thick layers of paint to create texture, which makes the artwork feel more dynamic and alive. Instead of a flat image, each brushstroke adds depth and movement.I especially love painting sunsets because of the wide range of colors in the sky. The mix of warm and cool tones gives me the freedom to be creative and expressive. Using impasto allows me to highlight those colors in a bold, textured way.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration mainly in nature, especially in sunsets. The way the sky shifts through different colors,warm oranges, soft pinks, deep purples, and blues gives me endless ideas to work with. No two sunsets are ever the same, which keeps my creativity flowing. I'm also inspired by the feeling those moments create. Sunsets can be calm, powerful, or even dramatic, and I try to capture that emotion through color and texture. Using the impasto technique lets me express those feelings.
What would you do with $25,000?If I win the 25,000 I will save this for my family's future. I have two beautiful daughters and I want to do everything I can for them to secure the best future.
