The act of creating is my safe space and outlet. The more I create from feeling and intention, the more I connect with people.

I love painting bold, expressive portrait work rooted in culture and lived experience. Whether on a wall or canvas, I focus on capturing emotion and the stories people carry. My work explores identity and wellness, using color and symbolism to make people feel something they recognize.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from experiences, people, and the communities I'm part of. I'm drawn to emotion, culture, and the way identity shows up in everyday moments. I also think a lot about wellness and environment — and how they quietly shape who we are. Most of my ideas start with a feeling I want to capture or understand.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would executive produce my first solo exhibition with intention and detail. I would also launch a series of creative wellness sessions: intimate, recurring gatherings where people can engage with art, reflect, and be present, grounded in my background in mental health. A portion would also go towards a dedicated studio space so I can (finally) create at the scale this work deserves.
