I make art to feel. I use music as a catapult and paint as a landing pad.

I use acrylic paint, working quickly on wood panels. It is a physical experience. The paintings that result are what I would describe as expressionist landscapes. I am drawn to dynamic lines and dramatic light. They depict a mood, a place, a situation. I love to find unique color combinations, and that means that I experiment a lot.
Where do you find inspiration?Literally anywhere. Old Loony Tunes backdrops. Master painters. The island I live on, where I take pictures, referenced while I work. Sometimes I take inspiration from other artists work, and usually I’m just trying to make sense of my own emotions by playing with colors and juicy paint and allowing the music I choose to yank it out of me.
What would you do with $25,000?This would be a life changing amount of money for me. I would use the funds to bolster and possibly expand my gallery, which is a huge boon to my community and operates on a shoestring budget. I would also love to spend more concentrated time in my studio, and last but not least secure a more stable place to live.
