“I’ve been doing art my whole life and nothing makes me happier than to move someone with my art.”
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’ve been trained in college to draw realistic art but I like to paint impressionist art with bright colors. But I like to paint aspects of realism into my impressionist paintings now. Adding wildlife and people. Love western and southwest art since I was a teenager.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration a lot going on photography trips to Sedona and Arizona. Hiking into canyons and trails and then also looking through my photos when I get back. The magic of painting them comes when I sit down at the easel and imagine the painting in my head with bright colors and loose brush strokes.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve been trying to get my art career going for over 20 years on the national level. I want to use the money to advertise in magazines and social media to help me get into some national western and southwest art auctions and shows around the country. I want to start generating calls from galleries to take my work and enticing new collectors. I also want to build some painting racks and get some photography equipment into my art studio at home.
