What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love painting with oils or acrylics. Mixed-media. Lately I’ve been primarily creating with ink, colored pencil and watercolors. My all time favorite is drawing whimsy, humorous characters…comics, gag cartoons and graphic novels. My character Zebra usually shows up in my work.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration by watching people and eavesdropping. The colors in the natural world inspire me. Reading. Talking with other artists. Imagination is my go to inspiration.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would enhance my studio with better lighting, art table and chair, etc. I would purchase art supplies, computer, scanner and printer. I would love to consider attending an art retreat to complete my graphic novel. I would also visit the brick and mortar comics school that I am a member of in Florida…(SAW) Sequential Artists Workshop. I currently study comics with SAW online. I live in a historical house that I grew up in. This could help with repairs I haven’t been able to afford.
