I create to tell stories through light, time, and places most people never stop to see.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create photography that documents abandoned and forgotten environments, focusing on the textures, light, and stories left behind. My work is about preserving spaces that are disappearing and giving viewers a sense of what it feels like to stand inside them.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from exploring abandoned and off-limits spaces and documenting what’s left behind. I’m motivated by the idea that these places won’t exist forever, so each shoot is a chance to preserve a moment in time. Light, atmosphere, and the story of the space itself guide how I shoot.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 into a major documentary project capturing abandoned and at-risk locations, while also putting a portion toward publishing a photo book and hosting exhibitions to make the work accessible. Preserving these spaces visually is important, but sharing them in a meaningful way is just as important.
