I paint because God planted a seed of creation in my head. If I don't create, Satan sits on my shoulder and whispers thoughts of misery.

My favorite work to create is painting—landscapes, wildlife, and cityscapes that carry a sense of symbolism or narrative. I’m drawn to subjects that feel familiar but can reveal something deeper when viewed closely. I enjoy finding the balance between realism, emotion, and abstraction. I primarily work in oils and often paint alla prima because I love the immediacy of capturing fleeting light and atmosphere in a single session.
Where do you find inspiration?Sometimes in beauty, sometimes in blight. A lot of my inspiration comes from nature, travel, and observing everyday life. I’m inspired by sacred geometry, particularly the golden ratio, which I see as evidence of an underlying order in nature. Beyond landscapes, I find inspiration in unexpected places—urban environments, wildlife encounters, mythology, and even quiet moments that most people overlook.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 directly into growing my art career—upgrading studio equipment, purchasing materials, and covering framing costs so I can create larger, more ambitious work. I’d also strengthen my online presence through website improvements, marketing, and art fair opportunities to reach new collectors. A portion would go toward travel and experiences that inspire future projects and help me continue evolving as an artist.
