Wood firing is inherently unpredictable and unfolds over extended durations, requiring sustained attention, intuition, and collaboration. Each firing becomes a shared, communal act in which outcomes cannot be fully controlled or repeated. Each firing is a once in a lifetime opportunity, there will never be two pieces alike.
Where do you find inspiration?I try to be the most bogus I can be; my most authentic self. Through intuition, sometimes I can communcate with an infinte source of possibilties; that seemingly everyone is connected with. Through my materials great discoveries are possible in the moment when that part of the work is not important.
What would you do with $25,000?Push the button, sit in the tub. Emeralds and Rubies in Yellow Gold, Art in the studio is getting sold!
