Recently, I’ve used charred wood from a residential fire, balancing its unpredictable marks with imposed order, keeping both forces active in tension.

What would you do with $25,000?I’ve long wanted to work at larger scales—sculpture and installations—but the cost of space and materials has been a barrier. This award would allow me to pursue that goal.
