As a photographer I create images to not only capture moments but to tell the stories of the people and places I image.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy the work of creating "Art Portraiture". Images of people that goes beyond just capturing their likeness, it tells a story. I also enjoy shooting landscapes and still life's, each evoking a sense of wonder, curiosity and wanderlust. You may detect an undercurrent of humor in my work as well. After all, art is about evoking an emotional response, and a good giggle is just that.
Where do you find inspiration? In the faces and lived experience of my subjects and the inspirational work of great photographers that have set the standards I aspire to.
What would you do with $25,000?Invest in my photography business. It would allow me to create even more involved pieces. I'd love to return to Iceland and shoot some new subjects on locations there. I'd like to make arrangements to photographs some of the locals in their home spaces as well.
