I find connections when I create. In the process, I can experience connections with my materials, and the subjects to which I focus on.

Receive Text UpdatesI love painting and illustration in ink and acrylic. My paintings are broadly conceptual abstraction with emphasis on narrative’s discernible through themes, use of color. I’d describe it as a new Fauvist because of bold use of color. Illustrations can go there too. I’ve completed a vast number of caricatures that feature a wide array of aesthetics like cartoons, cars, logos, etc.
Where do you find inspiration? It can come from anywhere really. Conversations, meditation, other art forms, (film, music, poetry, etc.) it has been my experience to always be working on something. This means having projects lined up. So you have something you can move to immediately upon completion of the current project. That in itself can keep me in a creative mindset, and sometimes projects can influence and may inspire other new projects.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put back in my craft for tools etc. maybe do something with my kids. I’m chasing something that has eluded me, I view any and all opportunities as an attributable experience on said road, one day at a time.
