I create art to tell stories. Sometimes words fall short and History is full of unspoken stories that only surface through art.

Drawing has been an escape of mine since the third grade. I started with pencil. Anything I could envision I tried to put on paper. I've slowly shifted over the years to ink pens and blending pencil shading into the artwork. The end result looks like something that could be tattooed. In fact, a few of my friends have. This style has been my favorite so far. I love the dark black ink with greyscale shading on a white piece of paper. It seems to pop off the page.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from a wide variety. Some inspiration is drawn from life experiences. Some are sad and some are adventurous. I read a lot a books too. The stories give me great ideas for characters and landscapes to draw. Bob Ross has been an inspiration since childhood. To start with a blank canvas and create something that amazing in thirty minutes just blows my mind. The Bible is a major one too. I love the challenge of taking scripture and transforming it into an image.
What would you do with $25,000?I honestly have no clue what I would do with the money. I've been wanting to find a truck that fits car seats for my kiddos. That would be a sweet down payment. Some nice art studio equipment sounds nice. I have lots of small ideas but I'd probably end up putting it in savings for my kids.
