Creating art has been a major part of my life, especially for my mental health. When I draw nothing else in the world matters. I am at peace

My pieces are similar to mandala art. As a child I always liked to doodle. One day, I shut my eyes and created an image in my head. It was a starting point. Once I opened my eyes, I simply let my hands do the rest. This is what makes my pieces so magical. I use micron pens and pastels to design very detailed drawings. I capture what my hands decide to create. My intention is for all people to get lost in my drawings.
Where do you find inspiration?I was adopted in 1979 from a Mother Teresa' orphanage in New Delhi. Missionary of Charities changed my life. It was approximately six months later, when I took a Pan Am airline flight to meet my adopted parents in LA. My art is the one thing that connected me to my Indian culture. I believe my hand freely draws some form of Mandala Art. That connection reminds me of how blessed I am to have an amazing family here and a selfless act of my birth mother that wanted a better life for me.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a single father of two beautiful girls Anaya 10 and Anjolie 6. It is the most amazing feeling to now have two that resemble me. The 25,000 would be used to support myself and my daughters. I would also like to donate to the Missionaries of Charity to give children a better life like the one I been given. My name is David Wadsworth Mittendorff and I am so grateful and thank you for your consideration.
