I love to create realism paintings, for the sheer joy of manipulating light with composition and tones. Surrealism, for reflective feeling.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Surreal, imaginative work with water-mixable oils on canvas - for both, figurative and nature art subjects - my current favourite and most inspiring types of art for me to create! Painting commissioned art for owners of beloved pets and memorial pieces, can also be a wonderful honour - a priceless satisfaction, when you know people really appreciate and cherish these works.
Where do you find inspiration?Personal growth experiences, matching metaphorical/symbolic imagery and a general interest in mystical beauty. I like to play and resonate with ideas using photo layering software and Ai prompted images - mixed with some of my own photos to come up with compositional references for painting. Listening to some creative electronic music/mixes from around the world (while I paint), seems to support an inspirational, focused state for me.
What would you do with $25,000?I would take my wife and I to Italy or somewhere we have never been before for an adventure holiday. The rest of the money would be invested towards a continued career in art for myself and whatever creative passions my kids might focus on and continue throughout my so-called retirement years.
