Receive Text UpdatesI like to create landscapes. Nature is so beautiful and something so many take for granted, including myself! I was born and raised in Wyoming many years I took for granted the millions of stars at night it wasn’t until I moved away and then revisited Wyoming, that I truly had the feeling of “ahhh” I never realized what I had until I didn’t. Mountains, lakes, trees and the bluest of skies are all so mesmerizing! Nature is the freest thing we all have in common~From seascapes to mountain tops.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from my 6 kids. Watching each of them grow makes me want to continue to better myself. My paintings are self taught with the use of YouTube and creativity. I got out of my comfort zone, tried painting and really enjoyed it. My youngest has Down syndrome and she has taught me to really stop and enjoy life~stop, take time to smell the flowers. We are never promised tomorrow and to live for the moment. Painting allows me to explore with no guidelines or rules. Very freeing.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 and help others learn the art of wet on wet oil painting technique. It would allow me to buy supplies to hold “classes” and to just have fun with others. Like Bob Ross says, “Anybody can paint. All you need is a dream in your heart and a little practice.” My paintings are self taught watching Bob Ross’ videos. He held 403 episodes through the Joy of Painting and my goal is to paint all of these episodes. Mr. Ross has opened a whole new world to me, forever grateful.
