Turning driftwood into art is my way of giving life to what was lost. In this quiet transformation, I have found peace and 'my purpose'.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
For me it would be creating art out of driftwood. Each piece of driftwood holds its 'own story' and that is what I am passionate about as it dictates the direction and creativity of each piece of art I create. I have sculpted; horses, buffalo, fish, moose, pelican, cows, a forest of trees, and a full farmstead scene (representing a moment in time). Fresh beaver shavings found along the river, made into sunflowers.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by wandering and collecting pieces shaped by time—once standing tall, weathered by storms, softened by water, and carried by wind. I love to explore, reflect, and create with my hands. It’s where I have rediscovered peace, balance and found 'my purpose'. The Cleveland Chophouse is more than a brand—it’s a tribute to what was lost and a celebration of what can be reborn, and that inspires me. Brining life into once was lost. ♡
What would you do with $25,000?This for me was alone was a WIN in finding the courage to share with the world my art and to inspire others. I would continue my art & on the healing journey that brought me here. My vision is a store front, where I can be there making my art, selling my art and teaching art. I want others to find the joy in making something with their hands, being proud of what they created, learn to love the imperfect.
